1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the PecuIQ app and website ("PecuIQ"), operated by Howcroft's Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By using PecuIQ you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
2. What PecuIQ is, and what it is not
PecuIQ is a personal net worth tracking and visualisation tool. You enter your own assets and liabilities, and PecuIQ shows you your net worth, progress toward illustrative milestones (Wealth Levels), and plain-English observations based on the figures you have entered.
PecuIQ is not financial advice. It is not a financial adviser, it is not regulated investment, tax, or financial advice, and it does not recommend products, investments, or actions. Nothing in the app should be taken as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or do anything with your money. Wealth Levels, percentages, and any projections are illustrative only and are based solely on the data you enter. For advice about your situation, consult a qualified, independent, regulated financial adviser.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. PecuIQ does not verify it and cannot know if it is correct or current.
- You are responsible for any decisions you make. Those decisions are yours alone.
- You will keep your account password and device secure (see the Privacy Policy).
- You will not misuse the app, attempt to break it, or use it unlawfully.
4. Your data
Your financial data is stored in your private PecuIQ account. We do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for full detail, including how to export or delete it.
5. Paid features and Founder Beta
PecuIQ may offer paid features, including the Founder Beta and future PecuIQ Pro plans.
- The Founder Beta is a one-off beta access payment where stated on the offer page. It does not create a recurring subscription unless you separately opt into one later.
- Billing is handled by the platform you pay through (Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, or another web payment provider), under that platform's standard terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your app store account settings (or your account settings on the web). Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends, and the price after any trial is shown before you subscribe.
- Refunds follow the policy of the platform you purchased through.
The free tier remains usable without payment.
6. No warranty
PecuIQ is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any figure or observation it shows is accurate or suitable for your purposes.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, PecuIQ, including financial decisions made using it, or loss of data stored on your device. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Intellectual property
PecuIQ, its name, design, and software are owned by us. You keep ownership of the data you enter. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the app as it develops; material changes will be notified in the app or on pecuiq.com. You can stop using PecuIQ at any time by deleting your data and removing the app.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
